I did an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.2 and had several little glitches that I've yet
to iron out. Plus:

1) Neither cdrom worked. The upgrade apparently kept the heart of /etc/fstab,
but added in a few other items. It kept my old cdrom mount settings, which
weren't compatable with 7.2. cdrom1 is now hdc, cdrom2 is not sr0. Once I made
the changes it's now working.

2) MAKEDEV didn't work. I refreshened the package, which fixed the problem.

3) Sendmail kept bouncing all incoming mail. I uninstalled the package and
tried to reinstall it, but it wouldn't, saying I was missing a dependency, I
believe it was libcrypt.so.o or something like that. I don't have that library
on any other of my systems so couldn't find what package it was in, so I
installed the 7.0 Sendmail rpm which had been on the system. It's now working.

4) Named wouldn't start - said it started, but didn't. I uninstalled the rpm,
couldn't reinstall it because of dependency problems (same as Sendmail), so I
donwnloaded and installed the 7.0 named rpm. Now it's working also.

5) There's a problem with TTF. X kept quitting immediately after trying to
start, kicking out an error that the font path couldn't be set, something about
"fixed, no such file or directory" (not a direct quote). I commented out the
TTF font path in /etc/X11/XF86Conf. The Xserver will now start, but I don't
have TTF.

6) I had modified one of the ports to allow ftp access for a friend of mine who
attends a college that has blocked port 21 so the students can't ftp off campus.
That is no longer working. Haven't had time to check into it.

In spite of the above, I was thrilled with the upgrade. My irc servers, bots,
chatrooms, and MyPHPNuke boards worked immediately. The upgrade/install took
less than 2 hours, took the first time, and on reboot worked right away.
