I am likely to buy a Dell Precision Workstation 340. I
wanted to purchase the 16x/10x/40x ide cd Read-write disk that
advertised with it. However, Dell says that Red Hat linux does not
have the drivers for the 16x cd.
On the RedHat hardware compatibility pages for Dell stations,
I see only the Sony CD-RW CRX140E as being compatible. These are an
old model of the cd-rw.
Does any one have any experience with this drive on RH. linux?
I am down loading the Linux CD-Writing-HOWTO-html guide.
