Yes, I always just go ahead and setuid root the cdrecord binary (yes, bad,
bad, bad... but it's on my home computer and my laptop ;-)), and last time,
when I had grip able to rip ok for regular users and cdrecord working fine,
I had a custom kernel. I guess I'll just build my own kernel again with
everything I need builtin and not as modules... then see what happens.
