After trying several times your suggestions (see previous thread), and
installing, apparently without any change:
compat-libs-6.2-3
compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2
I now have a working star office, and, as ridiculous as it is, it
seems that it failed after the first installation attempt and the rpm
upgrades above because I
didn't remove (together with the .office52 directory) also:
$HOME/.user52.rdb
$HOME/.sversionrc
/tmp/OSL_PIPE_500_SingleOfficeIPC_*
/tmp/soffice.tmp
Any explanation as to why removing this stuff made it work is welcome!
