Hi all...
I have A7V motherboard with the VIA C97 soundchip.
When i run the sndconfig, the system probes right settings etc etc...
However, when i start my default x, which is Gnome, the sounds won't work,
but when i start the kde, presto! the sounds come back alive, after i close
the kde and start gnome, the sounds work again (maybe)... :/ :/ ??
And the Voices sounds like a pretty crappy to my ear... :/
Really wierd.
Anybody got an idea what i should adjust or configure, or what might be
causing this behavior?
(Also, how to enable digital playback from a cd-rom? )
