 Thanks. I'll try it tonight. I know I've done exactly that (except
loading LILO out of thevmbr) & it never worked. Then again, I don't
think I've tried it in ~3 years. LILO mey have improved....

 Thanks to everybody who responded, for that matter. Life just got a lot
easier.
