The setup below works fine for me.

ride:/xraid2/home/jimb on /private/var/automount/home/jimb (nosuid, automounted)
macmini:~ jimb$ nidump fstab / | grep jimb
ride:/xraid2/home/jimb /home/jimb nfs rw,nosuid,tcp 0 0
