By the way. I can see directories I create in /datatank/vz, but the filesystems
created under it, I can't see.

I've created a ZFS filesystem and shared it over NFS:
-bash-3.2# zfs list | grep vz
datatank/vz 126M 457G 126M /datatank/vz
datatank/vz/private 37K 457G19K /datatank
