What are people using for slog in a cluster scenario? Assuming the competition
is a DDRdrive, is there anything reasonable available?
Is it still just STEC/Pliant SSDs or a ramsan-style appliance? I see Hitachi
released a SAS SSD earlier this week but it's not available or well understood

ESX does not support LACP, only static trunking with a host-configured path
selection algorithm.
Look at Infiniband. Even QDR (32 Gbit) is cheaper per port than most 10GbE
solutions I've seen, and SDR/DDR certainly is. If you want to connect ESX to
storage directly via IB you will find some lim

Hello,
I don't have any experience with ZFS when the disks are in external cabinets. I
have a few questions:
1. If I have a lot of spindles in an external cabinet, I'll have several disks
sharing channels (between 3 and 6 depending on chassis). I know this is
generally unfavorable, but if the

April ("Is file cloning anywhere on ZFS roadmap") asking about file-level
cloning in ZFS. Based on that thread I understand that it's not currently
possible to 'clone' files instead of 'copying' them, but the
