The reason for the "pattern" based filenames is because:

Hi,
The inability to create more than 1 clone at a time (ie: in separate
TXGs) is something which has hampered me (and several projects on
which I have worked) for some years, now.
Specifically I am looking at various forms of diskless grid/cloud
environments where you create a "golden im

A sysadmin friend of mine at Oxford just posted the attached in his
LiveJournal; I am forwarding it here for comments, since it swings
between problem definition and rant, and today's Friday.
I have my opinions regarding some of the points raised; I am seeking
breadth of insight. At very lea

But you know this, since you've already commented there. :-)

they will be so big that there's probably no point in pushing swap off

Ever encountered an operating system that allows you
to mount and manipulate a ZIP file as a filesystem?
Why did anyone bother to do that, when they could just

Tough Guys Don't Dance. More pointedly, I tend to fatally tread on
people and/ or destroy things. I need a folk festival, a field, and
serious amounts of ale to really get going. 8-)

The former; my intent was to compute the subset of filesystem objects
which match the patterns specified, and then

I came up with the concept of "views" which neither of us are aware of

Hello All,
Attached is a conversation I've had with an old friend / colleague /
sysadmin (cc'ed) and it raises three questions for me.
I would like to ask the panel, from the context as described below:
Did Sol9 have a 1Tb limit on addressing IDE
Does S10?
Would ZFS
