So I submitted a bug almost a year ago on cifs fqdn mapping from a windows system to opensolaris failing. In my migration to a new mail system, I somehow lost the old saved emails I had with the bug number. In any case, it appears that using fqdn still fails with the latest builds of opensolaris.
