I'm reading the source code about ZFS trying to know some details about COW
mechanism.
And I've known some related data structures such as dnode_phys_t,
blkptr_t, uberblock_phys_t,objset_phys_t,dnode_t,dmu_buf_impl_t,etc.
but I can't find the codes about allocating a new block, copying

Excellent progress!! But your website is out of date and I cannot find a
NexentaCP link on the download page. Only the old NexentaOS link. Also you
should update the news page so it looks like the project is active :)

Hi All,
This is the road to NCP 1.0...

What does 'which chmod' show? I think that Indiana chose to have
/usr/gnu/bin at the head of the path, so you're probably picking up the
GNU chmod, which doesn't handle NFSv4 ACLs. Manually running
/usr/bin/chmod should solve your problem.

No, this is something I have observed on at least four different systems, with

Hi,
I am struggling with ZFS/ACL on indiana preview. (ps: I am new to ZFS,
new to indiana, and generally incompetent on Solaris admin commands:-)
First of, I am a bit surprised the 'old' setfacl command does not work
on ZFS:
setfacl -m user:ludo:rw- /etc/apache2/2.2/httpd.conf
File system does

I believe what you're lo
The title says it all really, we'll be creating one big zpool here, with many
sub filesystems for various systems. Am I right in thinking that we can use
snapshots of the root filesystem to take a complete backup of everything?

Yes if the underlying NFS share FS is ZFS rather than VxFS... The point
mentioned pertains to ZFS' inability to have the pool enabled from two
different source nodes.
