Hello,
I read somewhere that a recipe can contain more than one package and recipe
name is not the same as package name.
But in
https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/Building_your_own_recipes_from_first_principles
I see that package name (used in IMAGE_INSTALL_append) is actually the same

hELLO,
For some reason my image is installed with gstreamer 1.6, and I don't
understnad why the image (fsl-image-qt5) prefer 1.6.
Is there a way to force gsreamer specific version (1.8.2) ? I need
specific version 1.8.2, because of required package openvivoe, which
expects that version only:

Hello,
I see that there are 2 source directory for linux, and I can't see any
difference between them:
build/tmp/work-shared/lec-imx6/kernel-source/
build/tmp/work/lec_imx6-poky-linux-gnueabi/linux-imx/4.1.15-r0/git
Why do we need two , are both used ?

Hello,
Does anyone knows how I can add snmp to yocto, I manage to have
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf , but not snmp.conf.
This is what I tried:
I added CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL += "net-snmp net-snmp-server
net-snmp-libs net-snmp-mibs" , yet snmp.conf is missing
I also tried to restart snmp as following:
Hello,
I use yocto x11 distro, and it works well with various application
including qt5.
On trying to use gstreamer, it seems that it does not function OK, I
first suspected that it only has to do with high resolution, but now
it seems that various distortions happens only in low resolution.

Hello,

Hello,
I try to understand the difference between hddimg and iso, but yet
didn't find the answer for that.
I think both contain bootloader, and probably hddimg is format for usb
harddisk and iso a format for usb cdrom.
Is that correct ? Is there actually format for "usb harddisk" and "usb cdrom"
Hello,
Is it possible to configure more than one package manager in yocto ?

Hello,
I am trying to understand what's the purpose of host sysroot (in
/build/tmp/sysroots/) ?
I see it contains a set of libraries too. But for cross compiling an
application in host isn't all we need is toolchain and target sysroot
? If so, than what's the purpose of host sysroot ?
Thank you,
