I'm having issues with the new media player (gtk-play and gst-play)
on my i.MX6 based systems. In order to try and track the problems,
I'm trying to build these programs outside of Yocto (so I can hopefully
see *how* they are meant to work). Once I can build & test on something

Hello
I have the below's simple recipe(starting a script in sysV runlevel 2), but
when I add it to the image with

Does someone sees something wrong?

Hi,
The build breaks during compile with an error like 'non-existant file handling
an "#include ". Solution appears to be to define 'ALT_SDT_H' to a
path guaranteed NOT to have sdt.h.
My workaround was to add a bbappend in my 'hotfixes' recipes collections.

You should probably use this line instead
CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL = "canlogger"
There is CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL though
