Thanks, Trevor! Looking at what others are doing regarding templates
sounds like a good starting point, of course. But it seems to me there is
more interesting stuff buried somewhere in your answer, so I hope it's ok
if I dig a little deeper.
I think I might have asked the wrong question. Let's fo

To: Zhang,
Hello,
I have been using the bitbake core-image-sato with
EXTRA_IMAGE_FEATURES = "debug-tweaks tools-sdk" which adds the sdk to the image.
I since have done bitbake boost (added about 14 RPMs) and bitbake
qt-mobility-x11 (which appears to have added many RPMs).
After creating the boost libs I in

Hi,
I believe that nfs-utils is not longer necessary to include in
packagegroup-core-p1, right?
Cheers,

Add a build for core-image-sato (with IMAGE_INSTALL_append = "
lib32-connman-gnome").
A qemuimage test in poky (and a RunSanityTests step here) needs to be added at
some point,
so that the test is complete.
Also add builds for lib64-core-image-{sato,sato-sdk,lsb-sdk}.
lib64-core-image-sato it's a

I've successfully built core-image-base-cedartrail-nopvr, with NO
modifications, no meta-oe layer to pull in Samba, no attempt to partition
the flash drive, just the .hddimg file dd'ed to /dev/sdb, to see if I can
get something, anything to boot out of the box.
I get a kernel panic when it tries t

Followup:
I figured I'd try a sato build, since that's what the example on the BSP
page uses. But core-image-sato-cedartrail-nopvr panics in the same way as
core-image-base-cedartrail-nopvr. For sato, I surmised maybe 1GB wasn't
