My suggestion for you would be to revise/simplify the problem statement,
but I feel that until we get to close the circle on the Nova side,
there's hardly anything we can do on the Neutron side.

There are a couple of issues right now:
a) If a trunk dynamically changes after a consumer of the Neutron API
access trunk-details, the consumer won't know unless it polls.
b) From within the guest there is no good way of knowing whether a trunk
is dynamically changing after boot. Mind you, it's
