Well, yeah, that's the point. We need a face-browser enabled greeter screen
that doesn't look out of place. I've used some that are, and I always switch
back to the Xubuntu GDM theme cause it's 'in place'.

I remember it wasn't so difficult to add the face browser, but it looked
terribly out of place when I tried to do so. That was with Breezy or
something however.
Anyway, this gdm looks great:

Just wondering, would it be possible to make a GDM theme with a face
browser? It's nice to have a list of users to choose from, but there isn't a
face-browser enabled theme for Xubuntu.

I like the flat version of the Usplash too, but I still think the Xubuntu
text in the gdm looks out-of-place. How about using just an outline of
"Xubuntu"? You could still make it glossy, but just the edges of the word.

Hi,
Here are a few pointers. The usplash should have a flat background,
this is the rule. The other thing is that in the index color mode,
images look best when the colors are flat or close to flat. That is
why I toned down the colors in the text logo; just giving enough

I really, really like the blue modified tango icon theme at

personal opinion though) I don't like grey user interfaces... I liked the
colours of Clearlooks, however, I favour the Murrine engine for it
Jozsef,
I agree with the others that perhaps it should be a bit more unified, but I
can understand that this is difficult for the Usplash as you're forced to
put it on black.
I do like the wallpapers, both of them, Viper550's a tad better, but it
could be a bit glossier.
As for the text "Xubunt

What do you think of this idea?
