It seems to be too saturated. IMO a general-purpose background should be
neutral, i.e. the saturation should be low.

Too bright? It is saturated. The fact is that darker, more saturated
colors are better for your eyes. It is the snowy landscape that forces
you to wear sung
, i do like that alot. but don't you think colors that light for an
entire desktop might be overwhelming?
