How to find what 'error ent = 1073741820' means?

It means you're using a libpcia
Trying out a full build as indicated on the Wiki using
cd $HOME/src
git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/util/modular util/modular
mkdir $HOME/build
cd $HOME/src
./util/modular/build.sh --clone $HOME/build
this is on openindiana (SunOS 5.11) with pkgsrc gnu tools including
gcc4.7.2
