X won't restart without reboot

​​ I am using xorg-server 1.19.1-1, Cinnamon 3.2.8 and lightdm 1.20.0. When I log out from Cinnamon I never get to see the lightdm login screen again. I just see the screen flashing between the console and a blank screen. The only way to logout is to reboot which is pretty annoying. Here is the
