Thanks Hussein from your accurate and complete answer. So, the problem seems to be on MS Word "by design", maybe there is no simple way to properly paste the table text structure in a different way. BTW, what's this "Smart Paste" feature you mention? (Sorry if I sound dumb, I'm not much of a Word
