My name is Piotrek and I'm Polish translation team coordinator. I
noticed that few teams have separate mailing lists for their own. Is it
possible to create another one for my team? I believe it would help a
lot with communication inside the team.

Can't do is IMO the answer.
Easiest is to create a group discussion for example on Google (
groups.google.com.)
Turkish team does so for example.

I prefer standalone group on private server, like xfce.org than Google.
