If you use the MSI, it only allows one installation of WiX at a time
(installing 3.5 will replace 3.0).
Other than that, I have not yet used 3.5 with VS2008, so I wouldn't know of
any issues with opening the files, but you can always disable building the
3.0 WiX project before you install 3.5 and
