msiexc will also run for about 10 minutes after an install finishes. If this
process was bound to a certain framework then the next install that starts up
would be also. It could also be tricker when we get into micropackage chaining
and different packages have CA's assuming different version

Thanks for the response - it was the one which is feared i might get.
The article was quite interesting. I must admit that I agree with the MSI
team that Custom Actions should be kept to a minimum, however I do not buy
their justifications.
