I am trying to have my setup program pick the appropriate language based on
the user's computer: If the user has a German Windows, I want my setup
program to be German. In all other cases, I want it to be in English.
Can I do anything like this with wix3?
If yes, how?
Thanks,
Patrick S
the class to be additionally registered into HKLM.
Is there any way to do this with the class element or do I just have to
create the reg keys in HKLM I need directly?
Thanks,

How do I get it to not create those HKCU reg keys for the XP setup because
they give me ICE57 warnings?
Thanks,

Hi Stefan,
Thank you! Is there a way to set this property in a wix file or do I have to
use msiinfo.exe after I created the MSI?
Thanks,
Patrick

- create two reg entries in HKCU\Software\companyname\appname
I just don't see where I am triggering anything that requires elevated

? I am only trying to copy files to a
folder and really have no clue what HKCU key I should be creating to make
this work.

How do I figure out with wix3 whether a particular .net assembly is already
installed (and registered in the GAC)? I'd like to write a condition to not
install an assembly if the user has it already installed.
Thanks,
Patrick S
Is it possible to determine the installation directory based on a condition?
For example, if the OS is XP, install in Program Files. If the OS is Vista,
install somewhere else?
Thanks,

dd-in would be rolled into wix itself. Did that happen? If yes, how do I
use it?
