I am attempting to write new values to the Registry with a Wix
installer on a Windows 7 box. On the first installation the settings
are written properly, I then uninstall the application and find that
the Registry settings are still there (which is what I want).

I am attempting to use Major Upgrade with my Wix installer to IIS 6 on
a Windows XP machine. In the past when using this same installer with
a Minor Upgrade it would work fine and only show up once in the
Add/Remove Programs dialog even after several upgrades. Now that I
have changed the installer
I have developed Wix installers in the past using the minor upgrade
route but have recently changed to major upgrades to allow for easy
double click upgrades. A couple reasons we wanted to do this was:
1) Preserve existing configuration files
2) Preserve login and recovery options for our Wind
