1) I create an installer based on the files in a particular folder
2) I delete a file from the folder
3) I compile another installer that doesn't have the deleted file
my problem is that the file is still there on the install location and needs
to be deleted by the new installe
I have a situation where we are serving msi files via a website linkā¦.what
ends up happening is that if I choose to run the file directly without
saving it locally it does install the product but if I do another run
without saving and hit the repair button it fails with a network error
saying it c
Can someone explain how these are used???
What if I have the same upgrade code but different package and product id
for newer packages..how does that play out???

file if I select run instead of save I can install the file successfully.but
if I do it again and select the repair button for the same package the
repair fails giving a network error.any ideas anyone???
