Very noticeable size reduction for the same MSI built in 3.8.1128.0 compared
to 2.0.5805.0. 26 MB went to 15 MB. Nice benefit. Good job.

As I recall, there were major language changes from 2.0 to 3.0 and that
refactoring would be expected. 3.0 - 3.8 should generally be backwards
compatible though.
