I did some more testing. The installer is not touching the config files
in general. Only the connection string. Seems, that one of my components
gets executed every time. I can't see why. Any ideas?

Can one of you please put me out of my misery and tell me what stupid
mistake I am making with this installation. I used to WixEdit to build
a simple installer which has to copy one file to the Program
Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/STARTUP folder and a couple of files to
the [AppDat
Who actually uses GPO deployment? It's capabilities are s limited compare
to tools like SCCM(SMS) which has no problems handling multiple files including
exe's.
