I was trying to use in an installer.
When I place such an UIRef in the wix file, then build fails because
"WixUI_Minimal" is not defined.
So I tried to add libraries from C:\Program Files\Windows Installer XML v3\bin\
(Just guessing that this would be necessary.)

Does anyone know of stability differences between the admin base objects and
adsi? I have an old installer that uses ADSI to create virtual
directories... and occasionally the AppCreate2 call will fail with odd
errors (sometimes the metabase vs SAM passwords for IWAM are out of sync).

In Vista writable data should be written to c:\ProgramData\{your app}
(CommonAppDataFolder) or the users local application directory
(AppDataFolder). You shouldn't try and change permissions within
programfiles or you'll run into trouble.
