If this added the pipe to a preference file that would be even better, as it
would persist between Wireshark sessions. It might help pipes feel more
loved, and not like a hack added on.

Hello,
With the changes committed in rev 38350 which has a new capture options
dialog, how does one use a named pipe? I couldn't see a way to get this
working.

The only thing that I know will need to be changed later is possibly the
ICMPv6 message type, which is pending assignment by the IANA. This is
clearly marked in the source comments by both a 'pending IANA assignment'
and a 'rpl-12' comment.

Hello,

There was an update to the 6LoWPAN patch from a while back to add missing
features, specifically "context-based" decompression.
In addition I've updated that patch to support the latest version of the
6lowpan standard, hc-13. Note that hc-13 has gone to last call and is
unlikely
Hello,
There is a few outstanding patches for 6lowpan / 802.15.4 support. As
development here moves forward, it would be great to get these committed to
SVN. Otherwise the patching process becomes more complex as the web of
dependencies grows, as there is likely to be some new changes coming so
he protocol is registered.
Is that OK then? I do see this working properly, once I looked under "IEEE
802.15.4". I'd rather get the input of the experienced developers on this
list if it should be "wpan" or "IEEE 802.15.4"!
With that sorted out I'll be happy
rong? It seems fairly simple, however I'm not very
familiar with the Wireshark sources.

BTW: For those interested, the hardware is "RZ USBstick" by Atmel. It's $44
CAD, or you can get a development kit for $113 CAD with it. The softwar
