I think one possible course of action from here is to pre-emptively notify
Wikimedia Argentina of the issue of Falklands being on the list. WP:BEANS
may be a concern but I hope they'll be reasonable.

At £2k for a non-commercial flight, it could be quite tricky to get
/anyone/ down there. Even sending cargo is quite expensive. From South
America, it's about £500.

Hello everyone,
Joscelyn Upendran, one of our Trustees, has been working on a draft

Hi,
We have discussed this issue quite up front actually - and decided to
follow our usual path. Wiki Loves Monuments is based on what countries
recognize as monuments - in this case the national heritage board of
Argentina. We don't want to selectively shop in such a list, as that would

Thanks for the clarification Lodewijk! We'll see what we can do at this end
to smooth over any problems, if they occur.
FWIW, the UK listed buildings on the Falkland islands are here:

falkland islanders around somewhere..
Dear all,
I would suggest that participants in this public list reflect somewhat
before making comments. I have looked through the link which was sent and
done some research:
1) I could not find any evidence to show that Wikimedia Argentina
