[weewx-user] Different instances of WEEWX?

2024-06-03 Thread Eric Gammeter
Hi- Seems I have two different instances of WEEWX. I have the online WEB instance (www.OakorchardWeather.NET) which is current (date time, data); and I have the other instance at local IP address: 192.168.1.38. This 2nd instance is dated August 6, 2023. MY situation: I am trying to troub

Rainer, the WH57 sends lightning data as the lighning is detected, the console shows this data immediately. I observed this mutliple times: You see the lightning out there, the LED of the WH57 flashes red, the counter on the console goes up, the distance is also updated. If there is a lightning

To me the most likely explanation is that the display displays lightning hits in realtime as events, and also includes aggregated lightning (over that observation period) when it periodically reports all data from all sensors. This sounds like it is the same as the Tempest which reports lightni

I think the main difference is that the Ecowitt consoles can only be polled, or configured to push data a defined interval. As far as I know, there is no such event mechanism from the console to other devices, messages queues, whatever. But I'd be very happy, if someone would prove me wrong. v

Without your config and a log (at least a full interval) one just can guess. I like guessing, so my best guess: you only run one instance and on August 6, 2023, you changed something, so it doesn't populate html files to the location, where the local webserver retrieves the files from, anymore.

[weewx-user] Setting Vantage Vue archive interval

2024-06-03 Thread Rob Cranfill
(I've tried searching here for the answer to this; if it's asked-and-answered, please let me know where.) It has been pointed out to me that the archive interval of my weather station, a Vantage Vue, doesn't match my WeeWX config (60 seconds .vs. 300) and that WeeWX therefore uses the hardware'

U by googling for “weewx belchertown windrun” or “weewx windrun” or “belchertown windrun” perhaps ? You might try rewording your question a bit to make it easier to figure out what exactly you are asking or trying to accomplish… On Monday, June 3, 2024 at 2:25:18 PM UTC-7 pannetron wrote:

Belchertown can be a little complicated. Basically you want to copy its graphs.conf.example to graphs.conf, then edit your custom graphs.conf to add definitions for whatever graphs you want to add. I *think* you need to restart weewx to make them take effect, but it doesn't hurt anything to do
