I am in the same boat. I dropped a note to Davis support, and they
confirmed that there is no local data available on the 6313. To get you
data back you will need to purchase it back from Davis.

Looks like I won't be buying one of those!
That is nearly as bad as paying subscription to use software.

Previously, one had to spend an extra $225 for the USB data logger. Now, one has to buy an Envoy ($235) and the USB data logger.I suppose the worry is that Davis will stop selling the previous console and the envoy. On Aug 8, 2023, at 4:07 PM, Greg from Oz wrote:Looks like I won't be buying one o
I have been using a USB fineoffset device for over 10 years and it works OK
for what I am doing, but the newer ones don't have the USB port on the
console anymore.

The general message is that the hardware manufacturers want to own your
data. It's getting harder and harder to gain access to it.

It will get to the stage where we will have to build our own hardware.
Maybe we could build a weewx weather station and sell them? Don't ask me
though I can't solder to save my life.

Strangely enough I just replaced all my DIY hardware (weatherduino) with an
Ecowitt setup and it's excellent for the money

I have been using the Ecowitt on my home weather station going on three
years now. I can not say anything bad about it. The Davis 6313 I am dealing
with is for an organization I belong to. It replaced the failing VP2. They
are really bummed that they spent so much money for something that does
swap vantage to ecowitt and you lose the data logger (stored in local hardware)
→ one day you lose critical data
ecowitt already have a ‘regularly call home' to china built in that adds no
value to customer, only a dependency on ecowitt company. if ecowitt turn off
their ‘ok’ response, everyone
