[weewx-user] Windrose with weewx 4.7.0

Hi, After updating to weewx 4.7.0 I see that the images are included in index.html.templ based on plot_groups and hence wind rose is gone. Can anyone guide me in helping how to get it back? I do see that windrose is still getting generated. One way is to hack to index.html.templ to include it

Hello, By "windrose", I assume you mean the progressive vector diagram? If so, it should be included if the keyword 'windvec' is included in plot_groups. Take a look in the Season's configuration file, Seasons/skin.conf. Look for option "plot_groups" (somewhere around line 77) and see if 'windvec'

Ah! That's not part of WeeWX. You'd have to ask the extension author. On Fri, Mar 18, 2022 at 7:48 AM Praveen Chandrasekaran < praveen.c...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi Tom, > > No, I am referring to this > > https://github.com/gjr80/weewx-stackedwindrose > > Regards, > Praveen > > On Fri, 18 Mar, 2022

Okay. Created a issue under the extension. The last issue I created under that extension got no reply. So I doubt this will get either. Any plan to support a native StackedWindRose plot_type? That would avoid need for extension. Also, any plan to support HighCharts based plots instead of png nat

We have talked about developing a Javascript-based skin, although it's more likely to use Chart.js than Highcharts because of its open-source pedigree. However, to make it bombproof and easy to install is not an easy task. On Fri, Mar 18, 2022 at 8:38 AM pravee...@gmail

Yes you can. Go into weewx.conf and add a stanza for StringFormats if it's not already there. Then add a setting for microgram_per_meter_cubed under it. When you're done, it will look something like this: [StdReport] ... [[Defaults]] ... [[[Groups]]] ... StringF

Instead of running the weewx database my Raspberry Pi 4 microSD card I'd like to relocate it to a shared drive on a Synology NAS. This is mainly to take advantage of the data redundancy of the NAS. 1. Is this simply a matter of changing SQLITE_ROOT to point to the new location? 2. Any reason

Try Belchertown as another alternative. It has both features you're looking for. On Friday, March 18, 2022 at 8:38:20 AM UTC-7 pravee...@gmail.com wrote: > Okay. Created a issue under the extension. The last issue I created under > that extension got no reply. So I doubt this will get either.

Folks do that, sure. You could get there with a symlink too if you wanted to not mess with weewx.conf Years ago sqlite recommended not having the db remotely mounted, but I think there are old threads here suggesting weewx is pretty safe to do this setup on. On Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10:4

As long as you are aware that using RAID is NOT a replacement for backups, all is fine. You can put your weewx.sdb +/- "anywhere". But if for whatsoever reason your database gets corrupted, the RAID (whichever number) won't be of any help. RAID is a concept for higher performance and for disk r

It's not generally a good idea to do this. There are two reasons: 1. There is a lot of traffic between the SQLite engine and the remote file system. Adding a network link can dramatically reduce performance. 2. More importantly, to achieve ACID properties, SQLite assumes that a fsync()
