I am unsure what happened, but I restored a backup copy of my weewx.conf and it
is back up and running! Holy cow, whatever happened took the entire thing down.

I am far from an expert at updating, but I do know the mqtt settings can get
erased if they are located in the skin.conf and not in the weewx.conf, maybe
that is what happened? Have you checked the backup config it makes to see if
the statements are there or erased?

Excellent, I found the service and was able to rem it out. Thanks guys, much
appreciated! I figure most of this stuff out. Then it works for a long time and
then something dies and by that time I have forgotten how I got it working in

I did install that one. I just have to see if I can figure out the fields I
need to change. I was hoping we might have the same equipment, and I could just
copy your configs, and it would work. But I see some errors I will have to try
