Hi Pascal
Containers sound like a great topic for a WOWODC presentation. I would love to
learn about how to use them for example to have a WO environment with java,
MySQL, wotaskd / JavaMonitor. Is that the kind of stuff they would be used for?
And how do I create a container and use it with a

Hi,
I never use a system provided apache, php or other sensitive software for a
server, I recommend to build from source, this allows to control when the
update are applied and locate your config files where you want them.
I even have multiple apache on the same server, some with php other with

Where do I start? :) In no particular order:
Number of knowledgeable administrators.
Server software packages (openstack, docker, etc)

As a follow up, I did fix the locking up problem.
When I checked my energy saver settings it was set to sleep after 3 hours but

I can’t remember if I had it set to that before El Capitan, or if I had it set
to never sleep and El Capitan changed it. But in El Capitan
Just out of curiosity, what would be your preferred way to do this so that it
sticks through deployments? Certainly, the launch script can be edited but that
gets wiped out with a new build. There’s a few ways I suppose.
Add it to the launchd script?

After a couple of days running an app with virtually no load, my El Capitan
server has been completely locking up every few hours to where I can’t even ssh
in, requiring a remote power cycle to bring it back to life. I may try a
remote linux install using some combination of these pages:

I’d give it more heap, that is pretty small.

The server load stays pretty low at around 10%-15% on a 6 core Mac Pro. I’ve
noticed that wotaskd starts up with 64MB max heap. Is it an acceptable amount
for a 64bit system?

If it is load related, I’d look at the application first. You might also be
running low on file handles or other system resources. Linux is likely better
configured in that respect.
WO should easily be able to handle that load, but that assumes that the
application does not have have issues w
We start having issues right about 100k page views per day. Is it reasonable to
believe WO should handle it without breaking a sweat? What makes Linux better
than OS X?

respond to a wotaskd request, it can appear that the problem is wi

Hello,
What is the most reliable deployment set up at this time? It seems we
are having occasional issues with wotaskd crashing or hanging. We are on Mac Os
X 10.9 Server. Would we gain anything from using SiteConfig.xml for Apache
Adaptor instead of wotaskd?
Thank you!
