this method, on the web2py server it works fine. it sends my
sms message and then gives me the api response.
when i run the same code on Google Appengine local and deployed it
doesn't work. it doesn't giveme an error but does not fetch
the api repsonse.

if there are no implications is there anyway of having some type of
check the does not do this call if on GAE?
