Is there a trick to getting web2py to run locally with the GAE Launcher? (OS X FWIW) I'm playing with the stock stable release. It works fine when deployed, but not locally (immediate ticket, and I don't know how to find the ticket).

Hello, wondering if someone could clarify when it's unnecessary to call db.commit()? I've noticed it is needed when doing inserts from the console, but it seems to be implicit in controller functions? Just looking for some quick clarification on this. Thanks!
