I'm doing that for quick testing phases, before testing in devapp server

Thus I'm able to produce the updated language files.

I understand web2py would generate my language file (e.g. it.py) in
runtime, except on GAE. Now, I am on GAE.
What would be my best workaround? Could I somehow still force web2py update
this file while I am local on my laptop?
Without this, this piece of work becomes enormous... :-(

Hey,
I wonder if the feature for parameter based routing is also available or
possible to implement with pattern based routing. As from what I can read,
it does the following:

- sets request.uri_language to lang
- routes /lang/static/file (shouldn't

I am creating a multilingual application and use this recipe to put
language in URLs.
routers = dict(
BASE = dict(default_application='myapp'),
myapp = dict(languages=['en', 'it', 'jp'], default_language='en'),
)
It works fine for incoming URLs but the URL function does not add language

I have been noticing members having read errors on the server when trying
to load the translation file as it is to large/or slow. Any suggestions on
how to make this work as our language file only has 1407 lines in it.

Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to "force" to use an specific language,
while web2py perform the translation automatically based on user's
browser language.
This means that although, we use as a default language browser
"English" we can choose our application in Spanish or Italian (ej:

About the web2py translation.
User David on this list has suggested that we strip() strings to be
translated before translation.
This would break backward compatibility unless:
1) we automatically convert existing strings in translations
2) we use an optional flag for strict translations

Hi
I'm having a problem that was repeated too much
sometimes the translation file , got messy while updating it with new
translations
translations are shifted from their proper place and thus you got un
proper translations
This also may have some side effects like making the whole application
