Yep.
I'm pretty sure 'fields' is a list so it doesn't need function parentheses.
And since "my_table" and "db['my_table']" are the same:
for f in my_table.fields:
my_table[f].writable=True
Same thing, but sweetened with syntactic sugar. (low calorie)
