I have noticed that there has been some work on the Macchiatobin on vpp
(as a part of the aarach64 project).
However, I have not managed to find any performance results for the
Macchiatobin as it is not a part of CSIT.

Strange.
I usually unmount and then mount the hugepages mount point before using it,
just to be sure.
Maybe the two different mount points confuse DPDK somehow.
By the way, if you have dpdk-testpmd, what is its output? Does it return
the same error message?
