The VPP LB is pretty much an implementation of Maglev
(https://ai.google/research/pubs/pub44824).
Maglev is the consistent hashing algorithm used to generate the
’new_flow_table’.
That table is used when a packet for a flow that is not known by the LB is
forwarded.

certainly right, it would take a few hours to get to a prompt...

If i remember correctly, there was major foobar with longjump code. Our code is
written for older PPC and it doesn’t work ok on Power9. Probably matter of
hours to get it fixed...
