Hi All,
First time on this alias so excuse any redundant questions.
We are investigating using vnc to enable our new work from home
model. Our department's main use is some CAD software that is fairly
graphic intense and we would be using through VPN. What I'm looking for

Team,
If you are looking for some performance testing
we are trying to use this to run some 2-D CAD applications remotely.
And it sounds like this may improve performance. We can throw
horsepower at it but the limiting factor seems to be bandwidth
and getting good bandwidth to peoples houses is t

Does anyone know if you can use tightVNC viewer with norma VNC server?
Also, how do I get the vncviewer to use tight encoding on the solaris
client, it doesn't
have the nice GUI interface like the windows version.

So, I've been trying to figure what are the best options to run with the
viewer to get the best
performance. I have tightVNC server running on my Office machine, from what
you are saying no options at are are best, that the server will negotiate
the best options with the client?

Hi ALl,
I'm running a vnc server on my desktop and a vncviewer client from
home. Is there any way
to query from the server what IP addresses are accessing my machine?
