Hi,
Just wanted to give some feedback on my testing of VNC Thing 2.1.
I tested it on a G3-upgraded Mac running MacOS 8.1.

than PS MacVNC. I also like the look & feel of the startup screen, where you
can see & choose all
Hi,
I've been playing with VNC Thing 2.2 on the Mac, and I've noticed the
improvements over 2.1. Good work! It performs noticeably faster.
I'd like to report the following issues:
1. It still seems slower than AT&T's version.
2. Sometimes it doesn't refresh the screen.
3. The bookmarks functiona
Dair,
Yes, forcing a refresh fixes the problem, so I doubt it's a server issue.

Hi all,
I've been using VNC Thing 2.2 extensively over the past 2 days and have some
observations to report:
1. Speed seems to be much improved from previous version, though there still
appear to be instances where refresh needs to be done manually.
2. There seems to be a problem with the shift
Hi,
Just wondering - are there any plans to add tight VNC capability to the Mac
client?
Thanks,

It'd be worth trying 1.2, which I think was released yesterday?
Although I'm not using any of the Carbon Event stuff yet, 1.2 has a

Hi everyone,
Just a quick note regarding tunneling and RoadRunner - I have a 2-way
"RoadRunner" cable modem - and I am able to tunnel to work using a custom
(Cisco) VPN solution and VNC. The VPN solution simply involves the
installation of a client on my computer and connecting to the VPN server
Hi,
I seem to be experiencing a situation where, once in a while, my Solaris
Xvnc server (v.3.3.3r1) seems to think the meta key is depressed, and
therefore all attempts to type, move things with the mouse, etc., are
misinterpreted. The only way I've found to fix this problem is to kill the

Hi,
I regularly experience the same problem with Xemacs (key mapping warnings).
Naturally one can dismiss that warning buffer easily enough - and there
don't seem to be any ill effects to functionality of Xemacs.
I've found some information on this in the Xemacs FAQ

keys as well (shift, alt). The best way I've found to fix this problem is to
press the particular modifier key in question a few times. Seems to work.
I've seen this bug on multiple clients (Linux, Solaris, Mac VNCThing), so
Hi Doug,
Not sure if this will fix your problem, but it fixed a related/similar
problem for me:
