I find that if I don't set the default password, on some machines this
problem will keep occuring. The dialog that pops up is probably the current
user one. I suggest try going in and setting the default password. If you
already have, then I have no idea.

Ah the wonderful world of VNC. I don't quite like the way this is setup
(display number means very little to people), but hey, it's still a good
little program.
First go to the Default properties of the VNC server. See the "Display
Number"? It's greyed out. Uncheck the "auto" box, and change
Can't you use the "full screen" feature and solve that problem?
Now it doesn't exactly work for resolutions larger than your own, obviously,

I have little reason to ever use the Ctrl-alt-del drop down while in an

Win98se is your "server" computer using ICS to give internet access to your

VNC is installed on the Win98se machine and you can't connect to it from the

I would say it's a problem
Make sure you have TCP/IP bound to your dialup adapter for starters (on your
client AND server computer).
I can't remember what the address is for a server modem once connected. Do
a winipcfg (win9x) or ipconfig (win2k) to get your modem IP address. The
server address is probably the same but w
Back Orifice is located on SourceForge.net (yes it's always been an open
source program, which is why it's such a pain as a virus).
I personally like the power of Back Orifice, but the Desktop power of VNC is
much better.
I think there is someone trying to combine the Desktop control of VNC with
