I'm trying to compile the Xvnc and get the following:
# make World
/usr/ccs/bin/make -f xmakefile all
make: Fatal error: Can't find `xmakefile': No such file or directory

So you are saying that the compile fails with v 3.78.1 of
Gnu make? I am using 3.79 and it works fine.

Yes,
try to use the -query localhost option, it will give you the dtlogin screen
(put it in vncserver or use your own script to run Xvnc).
