Okay, my mistake. But then the session is not persistent, if I

one other idea:
I know that the java vncviewer allows for changing
parameters while connected (as well as the windows
version of vncviewer), maybe we could add that option
into F8 so that we could change things such as the
type of connection (hextile, zlib, tight, shared, etc)
in the linux vncview
I think that would be an excellent 2 tiered approach
to vnc. I know that there would be uses for both
setups depending on needs. I did find that (so far)
using xfce in fullscreen mode has not had the problems
I have had in the past with using this approach (using

There is a CORE SDI advisory about the VNC authentication protocol and how
it is vulnerable to a man in the middle attack. This advisory was for
3.3.3. Has it been corrected in the current implementations?
thanks

Okay - this one is answered by muddling through the source. It is based
upon 3DES, but it is in fact only DES as the double and triple DES support

No, it ha
Actually, the same happens to MediaPlayer.
In fact, any data, including videos and images, which is post-processed by
your graphics-card won't be caught by VNC.
This happens because the pixel information in these cases is not joined
together with the rest of your screen data. They are blende
Hello All,
Well I have been able to get my Xvnc working under Linux Mandrake 8.0 by using
the xinetd directory entry and fixing my Xaccess as well.

Hello all,
I have Xvnc running as a service on my Linux Mandrake 8.0 box in the xinetd
directory and I was wondering if there was a way to have different ports run a
different manager?
For example, I would like one port to show the xwindows kdm login screen and
another to show up with the gdm lo
