connected to the internet, and I was able to connect to it before when it

Hey there.
You need to go the Microsoft web site for support and look up how to open
ports for internet connection sharing.
By default ICS blocks all ports <1024.
This is a common problem with ICS and if you search the archives you will
find the answer.
