Hey group,
Something occurred to me while toying with a laptop for a dial in
user. The WinVNC icon doesn't appear until some form of network connection
is made. If one were casually observing the lack on an icon, one might
think there was a problem with VNC when there really was a problem
On your WAN, what devices are between where you want to connect FROM and
where you want to connect TO (routers/firewalls specifically)?? Are both
the viewer and the server on Win32 platforms??
A preliminary suggestion: without more info, it sounds like the server you
want to connect to isn't al
What does your network geography look like? Especially important are
firewalls and NAT's.
